These days should be remembered (March 2011)

2/3/2011- Around the World in One Day. From Malaysia to India, Eritrea, Sri Lanka, France, Spain, Japan, China, Vietnam, Iran, South Africa,Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Pakistan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia and finally went back to England again..with one ticket ^_^

5/3/2011- PERGH! 3rd ed@ University of Southampton-Met friends, known and unknown ones with the same aim which was to learn more about Rasulullah and the Islamic history. The unforgettable moment was not during the program though. As when we were back to Pompey, a few local football supporters got drunk. This did not bother me much at all. What did bother me was the mad people throwing eggs towards us- the innocent Malaysian girls. Sobs. That was an absolutely assaulting act ever.Luckily I wasn't hit by any of those eggs. What a waste of egg and what a waste giving birth to such a sick person. Die3!!

11/3/2011- Earthquake in Japan. Allah showed His wrath again with a tsunami that hit north-east of Japan. Fortunately all Malaysians are safe. Much had been talked about the disaster and most of the issues are about the effects. Despite anything, I was captivated by this chain email, which is about 10 things to learn from Japan, from the aftermath of the tsunami.
 1. THE CALM
Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.
 2. THE DIGNITY
Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.
 3. THE ABILITY
The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn’t fall.
 4. THE GRACE
People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.
 5. THE ORDER
No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.
 6. THE SACRIFICE
Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?
 7. THE TENDERNESS
Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.
 8. THE TRAINING
The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.
 9. THE MEDIA
They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.
 10. THE CONSCIENCE
When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly!
Aren't these are good for thoughts? So much to be emulated from them.

12/3/2011- Went to Birmingham for All England 2011. This year's was even more meaningful as Afifah joined us as well. Our dream since primary school to watch All England together became a memorable reality. Furthermore, KKK+Tan and Chong Wei shone on that day and starred the final stage. A fantastic day I'd say! Enough to help me conveniently to forget about my course works. Anyhow, pity Afifah because she could not see the oldie but goodie Peter Gade because he was defeated during the quarter finals..Huhu
Taking picture while waiting outside the NIA, with the hope that Koo Kien Kiat will  come out XD

And at the other side of the world, Japanese were suffering of the nuclear reactor explosion. ='(

13/3/2011- Datuk Lee Chong Wei defeated the arrogant Lin Dan and lifted up the prestigious All England cup for the second time, but our Men's double has been shown the exit. Better luck next time!

17/3/2011- Kak Daliya's bachelor life comes to the full stop, so did my cousin Abang Shauki. Wishing you both a happy wedded life and blessed with rows of children in the near future. It becomes more apparent that the next walimah will be mine. Aiyoyo

19/3/2011-  The SPM 2010 was announced officially. MRSM PC leads from the top while SMSPP leads from the bottom in SBP list. XD Sorry dik. Promise to keep the school name confidential.
Plus, the first anniversary of Abe li n Kak Laili + the adorable Lutfil Hadi.

22/3/2011- After a long wait, I had a taste of laksa during usrah. I learned that laksa leaves of daun kesum is actually called hot mints. Thanks to Ummi and Natra. I wish that I could drink the whole gravy in your pot.

24/3/2011-Lecturer strikes over pension + date of submission for our research proposal + SoE seminar. Three events that clashed. The strike began at 12.00, the exact time where I was supposed to be in Park Building, submitting assignment and attend to Nick's seminar. One of the strike members stopped me and persuaded not to attend any class on that day as a sign of supporting the strike. "It is so much appreciated if you could skip class for today and join us at the University House". For the first time I felt obliged for playing truant.Hehe. The truth at times is stranger than fiction. But thanks anyway because it is pointless. I would rather not to be an 'insan prihatin' for them, unless the UK gov is going to pay my wages in the future =)

26/3/2011- Student Union election of Portsmouth Univ. The campaign was launched with more handmade banners were hung around the campus. There were also quite a number of main supporters who put on weird costumes for their candidate's sake. Amy Baker and Lauren had bribed me with tea cake and choc digestive. So, of course I wish that they could win the posts XD

30/3/2011-Meeting with delegation from MOE- Datuk Haili and his three other members. The presentations from a few of TESLians

None of them is one of the Malaysian delegation.  Just because seeing  Gilian wearing baju kurung on that day,  the Teslians  herded towards her like chickens.XD
