Mara terus Mara

Before anything else, this entry should be prefaced with Praise be to Allah. I came to know from Cikgu Hariati that MRSM PC leads for last year's SPM result. Although I'm not a part of the achievement but still, I could feel the happy wave passing this morning [through fb, of course..XD]. Everyone seems very excited and shares the joy.. and congratulated each other. As Mia said on her status, "proud to be one of MRSM PCians....booo...org tua prasan semangat skola agi...".

5 years had passed since the last day that i pulled my luggage and took all my boxes out from mrsm pc. By right there should be many things have changed over the years. No more locker buruk bersalut telur anai-anai like the one I used during form 4. Renovating BA for form 4 gonna be great. My 4J classroom was pathetically small to the extent that I had to pull my table if someone wanted to pass between the rows. (T,T)
Worst come to worst my juniors should be provided with a proper TV..in each aspuri block..Xkn still mcm dulu. Those TV sets at the E& C blocks should be placed at the nearest museum. Even so, we managed to watch how Italy won the 2006 World Cup title over France from that half alive TV screen. Hopefully the Bilik TV had been upgraded. Tolong la jangan kejam sangat..XD

One thing for sure, the best dish from DS should remain- Ikan Jaket plus assam gravy. the one and only. The taste that you won't be able to find even from Jamie's Italian.

5 years..hurm..the feeling is just the same. To all Jahizian, is the 26 y/old reunion still on? Panjangkan umur kami hingga ke saat itu. Amin

Jom recall lagu maktab ^_^

Subuh Gajah

60 years in hellfire. That's the reward for not performing Subuh prayer. [sigh].
Actually I'm having a huge problem  to perform Subuh prayer since the daytime is getting longer. As early 6.05am, the sun is already welcomed by Pompeyans. Subuh is 4.13. T,T
Why is it so hard to readjust my biological clock?
For those who are in the same  boat, it is makruh to sleep before the prayer time.
Having said that there's a strong assurance that you could be awake in time AND there's a sufficient amount of time for wudhuk and solah, it should be ok. The downside of it, if you miss your prayer because you slept longer than intended, you had committed 2 sins> prayer+sleep
Moral of the story..stay awake until subuh and don't swipe your hp to SNOOZE

Wait, why do Malays call late Subuh prayer as Subuh Gajah? Ellies and friends are innocent in this case. Unlike human, they only sleep about 3-4, at the same place and time. They are all  highly disciplined and even better in this sense. The young elephants won't be overslept by nature because their mothers will wake em up. Thinking of this, am I far worse than Gajah?

(T,T)
zzz...

Di+git+ -al VS Print+-ed

  • Azri showed his Kindle e-Book
  • Ipi is aiming for Ipad
  • Anis got a new hp from abah
  • My niece Elleya chi-chatted with me through YM
  • Ijat showed a video of Acaz through iPhone
  • Tazi's friends in US have got their iPad RESPECTIVELY
  • Viki 'Skyping' with her amma
  • Adlyn 'BB-ing' her mom
  • Ayuni had lost her most important thumb drive..
  • And our subject unit this term...ICT in the Secondary Education ^_^
What is the significance of all these? We are living in such a so-called Digital life..but I still believe that printed stuff are 1000 times more meaningful.
Thanks Adlyn for the free photo print.
And Ainun, thanks for keeping this letter. I sent it after PMR. What a memory --<@

19 March 2011. Another historical night for those who are care about the natural phenomenon. If not Supermoon, what else? XD. I was pretty sure all the owners of DSLR in particular were busy capturing the nicest image of perigee moon. So do with the iPhone users. Thanks for all the nice pictures on the FB news feed. At least I don't really affected by my better-no-to-have Olympus XD.

The image Someone told me that it was the biggest and the closest proximity to Earth after 20 years. The latest that occurred before was in 1992. Luckily the moon was shining outside of my window. It was like a night sun because the moon was extraordinarily bright. Subhanallah.

In the courtesy of Fiona, I 'stole' her picture from FB. Halal ya Fiona! =D. This is taken in London but I think the one that I saw looked even shinier. Tiba-tiba rasa macam nak jadi stargazer.
Ok, enough about Supermoon, Stargate, Star Trek and what so ever hyponyms for it, before I go further away from the track like I always do when talking to people XD.

Well, I had chosen Surah Tariq (86) for the usrah tadabbur session two weeks ago. I got captured by its meaning which is 'The Shining Star' or 'The Piercing Star'. In this surah, Allah had connected his creation of stars, with the ability of penetrating the darkness of night sky with the day of Revelation. The message is that during the day of judgement there is nothing hidden, even a small particle. The sky panorama substantiates the ability of Allah to bring about all the contents of our heart. Hurm, thinking about that really frightens me. Every single thing we do, even if it is a good deed, it does not completely determine the sincerity of our intention. The simplest example is attending usrah =) [Kak Jannah..hehe]

It is also worth noting that judgement in duniya is nothing to be compared with the ultimate judgement on the day of akhirah. If you secretly dropped rubbish, you won't be fined because nobody witnessed it. You do crime in a CCTV free area, there is still a hope for you to remain innocent in the eyes if public.
But the knowledge of Allah about what is in our heart will be judged openly at the court of Allah. It is a day when there's no might of helper that we can rely on. It is a very simple principle to hold. Purify your heart by directing it to Him. Fear Him. Think twice before doing something that might possibly cause Allah's wrath.
Indeed, this surah is absolutely awakening =)

Merry-Go-Round The World

Wednesday- 2nd of March 2011 was one the most awaited days in UoP calendar. It was the day where UoP students will gather and exhibit their respective culture. It's an annual event called Around the World in One Day. This year's event had gathered over large number of students compared to last year. More booths available for me to 'steal' food. Some are common but there are sweets which the taste is unbearable..XD. particularly the ones that are ginger-based. It's quite a no-no.. Among all the sweets and snacks that I tried, The Most Delicious Delicacies award [for unknown food category) goes to...
[drum rolls......tum3]

Salami-styled choc mazurka from Romanian!!!!

jgn confuse dgn mazurka dance pulak =D

It was like being in a living encyclopaedia. I got the chance to meet people from the less popular corners of the world..hehe like Eritrea, the name that I only hear during Olympics opening ceremony. Venezuelan with their pabelon criolo.Indian shared their Bombay Mix a.k.a Maruku..while malaysian booth was proud with tapioca crisps and cake batik.. Best3!

The cultural performance was great for the first half. Cek Mek moleks from Malaysia pioneering the arena with Joget Toleh-Menoleh. It was worth my muscle pain when seeing the exciting faces in front. Our performance was followed by Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Greek, Iran and African. If I'm not mistaken Indian was also a part of the list. From one performance to another, it became lesser and lesser culturally. The performance that initially superb turned to a horrific one..From that scene, I've got an insightful understanding. What I can conclude, Eastern culture is a total opposite of the Western. Even the dance is clear enough to represent the differences. It's like a different world in the same planet. I value my culture more and there's no doubt on that.

1. Bulgarian performing Dorbuja dance
2. Indian snacks
3. Graceful dancers from Vietnam
4. Vietnamese girl
5. Adebola africana
6. The girl with flower..I think she's Russian
7. Abang-abang Nepali
8. Dance performance Joget Toleh-menoleh. I'm the furthest XD

Malaysian spirit is never dim. MALAYSIA BOLEH!!

Lastly, enjoy the diversity, maintain the boundary =)

Hello Spring

March 1..!!

I should wish  Bienvenido for spring. Seems like the daffodils buds are getting ready. Sayonara thicks outer wears. Go back to your place and have a long rest. Hopefully there will be no more regrets, tears, and misfortunes. Flowers in spring will surely bring their loveliness. My fav season of all..Let's see what's gonna come for this month..!!

Regaining consciousness

Alhamdulillah for the opportunity that Allah has given to learn more about  Islam and at the same time reminding myself about things that I may have taken for granted. Islamic Awareness Week just passed successfully. I feel so grateful to meet  two converts to Islam- Maryaam and Abu Hafsah. Their speech was really moving and eye-opening. Once they embraced Islam, they hold on it tightly and commit themselves towards it. I was enlightened when listening to their views about Islam. Deep inside I feel it's really shameful. My faith is nothing to be compared with theirs. They just embraced Islam yet their akeedah is exceptionally strong. Yeah faith is somehow invisible until we are tested, until Allah brings us to a state of difficulty and trials. The converts a lways go through challenges especially when their own families are reluctant to accept them. Perhaps that is the reason why being in the UK can actually bring us nearer to Him. The struggle we face especially when it comes to performing prayer gradually trains us to remain steadfast. But It does not mean that I completely agree with the cliché thoughts that I always hear during any usrah program "takut nak balik Malaysia.."..err kenapa takut pulak?? explain pleasee... XD

After IAW,  I mustered up all my determination to attend daurah for this time, after months of break..the so-called 'break' that required approval from no one..hee. Iman senipis kulit bawang and I am in the process of making it thicker by any means. cuba dan terus mencuba..
^_^

What can I say about daurah in Birm? What I received along the two days at Sparkbrook mosque was not entirely new for me, to be honest. Again it was about aqidah Islamiyah. It may only be understood as two different words collocate together linguistically..[Linguistic element is a MUST XD]
Actually aqeedah has more important meaning. It is with aqeedah that differentiates between Muslim and Mukmin. The session with Ustaz Masrol was the most engaging. The title is Allah dalam Akidah Islamiyyah. He talked about Islam, a true religion that satisfies all the human needs. What had been flagged up was the human nature to rely on something no matter how they try to stand on their own two feet. Even Rasulullah never failed to ask for mercy, help and guidance from Allah. How can we, His slave can be so oblivious towards Allah? It's time to reflect and revive... -__-

All in all, two days in Birm was worth time spending.. despite the lack of comforts, despite my initial perception of  "I was compelled to join the daurah"..
The best way is to open our heart to let the message of Islam goes in. with the hope that it can change us for the betterment.
Keep the effort going...ok!!

A good investment.. Amiin

Guidance for the true believers.

The cutest song ever..like I said before, my interest in nasheed is no longer latent.. =D
